What is Canal Meteo TV?
Canal Meteo TV is the Spanish-language weather channel for the United States: live weather coverage, city-by-city forecasts, official alerts, radar, maps and news. Watch our live coverage or check your city forecast.
Is the website free to use?
Yes. All Canal Meteo TV content is free: forecasts, alerts, radar, maps and news.
Where does the weather data come from?
From official sources: the U.S. National Weather Service (NWS/NOAA) for forecasts and alerts in the United States, Open-Meteo for the rest of the world and air quality, the SPC for severe weather, NOAA SWPC for space weather and RainViewer for radar.

📍City forecasts

How do I see the weather for my city?
Go to City forecasts and pick your state and city, or use the search box. You'll see current conditions, the hourly and 7-day forecast, live radar and alerts for that location.
Do you have forecasts outside the United States?
Yes. Besides U.S. cities, we cover thousands of cities worldwide. Go to World forecast and choose the country and city.

⚠️Alerts and safety

What is the difference between a watch and a warning?
A watch means conditions are favorable for the event to occur: prepare and stay alert. A warning means the event is happening or imminent: act immediately. Check the active alerts.
Where can I see active weather alerts?
On the Alerts page you'll find all active official U.S. alerts. Each city page also shows the alerts for that specific location.
What should I do during a tornado warning?
Take shelter immediately on the lowest level of a sturdy building, in an interior room without windows, and protect your head. If you're in a vehicle or mobile home, find a solid structure. See more tips in our severe storms guide.

How do I prepare for a hurricane?
Prepare an emergency kit, have an evacuation plan and follow the official track. Our hurricane guide includes the live tracker, the cone of uncertainty and all the safety steps.
What should I do during extreme heat?
Stay hydrated, avoid the sun between 10am and 4pm, wear light clothing and check on vulnerable groups. Recognize the signs of heat stroke (an emergency: call 911). More in the extreme heat guide.
How do I stay safe in winter weather?
Avoid travel during snowstorms, dress in layers, protect your pipes and keep a car kit. See the winter weather guide.
What should I do in a flood?
Never drive or walk through moving water: "Turn Around, Don't Drown." Seek higher ground and follow official guidance. More in the flood guide.

How does the live radar work?
The radar shows near-real-time precipitation and its recent animation, so you can see where storms are heading. There are also weather maps for temperature, severe weather and more.
Where can I check air quality?
