My name is Albert Martínez, meteorologist, geographer, and communicator specialized in digital media, based in Houston. I have worked at RTVE, Univision, and The Weather Channel, and today I lead Canal Meteo TV, a platform that combines journalism, technology, and meteorology to inform and inspire the Latino community.
Work experience
15+ years of experience in television, radio, and digital platforms. I have worked as anchor and chief meteorologist at RTVE, Univision, and The Weather Channel en Español, leading coverage of hurricanes, wildfires, heat waves, and severe storms.
Canal Meteo TV
I founded the first 24/7 Spanish-language weather network in the United States. My mission: save lives, protect property, and inform the U.S. Hispanic community in their own language.

I host the podcast where I explore the science of weather, major atmospheric phenomena, and the stories behind meteorology, in a conversational format for everyone.
